The Women’s Federation for World Peace- Europe and Women’s Federation for World Peace Spain would like to extend this invitation to you to participate at our online conference on the theme:
“Afghan Women. Achievements and Setbacks in Contemporary Afghanistan”
While in the last 20 years Afghan women found a space to develop their vital projects and occupy leadership positions in their societies, today they have been displaced and have seen their rights taken away: access to education, to work, to health assistance, to freedom of movement, just to name a few.
This webinar hopes to strengthen our awareness of the current situation in Afghanistan and to advocate for the defense of human rights, especially women’s rights. We call for the attention of the international community to contribute to the betterment of the Afghan women’s living conditions by guaranteeing human security and life sustainability.
Leaders and delegates from Europe and Eurasia will meet to discuss the important steps women have been taking towards a shared vision of peace and security based on equality in the region and what this would mean for Afghan women.
The program will be held online on Friday, September 30th 2022 at 17h CET in one session of 1:30h including Q&A.
